Teachers use technology in their practice every day to motivate, inspire and further student learning. There are countless EdTech products already in schools that capture and track student data and perform other administrative tasks. As a current classroom teacher, have you had an idea for a way in which technology can help you or your students? Perhaps you have already created a prototype that you use in your classroom or is in use throughout your school.
If you are a current classroom teacher with an idea, concept or existing prototype for an EdTech product or service, then EDUCATE would like to hear from you. We know that there is some excellent, innovative work going on in the classrooms using EdTech and we want to help you design, develop and research your ideas.
As part of EDUCATE you will learn how to use research evidence to inform the design and development of your product and be part of a community of like-minded professionals, bringing pioneering EdTech into classrooms.
We know how limited your time is as a classroom teacher, so we have designed a virtual EDUCATE programme just for you. This programme requires only one-day of in-person attendance at an induction, to meet your cohort and the researchers and business people who will be working with you throughout your journey. The remainder of the programme is conducted online, allowing you to take part in learning activities from the comfort of your home or classroom.
We plan to add up to 12 teachers to the EDUCATE programme every three months. If you’re interested in speaking to a member of our team , please contact us.
If you would like to apply to EDUCATE, please use the application form on our partner site.
The form includes questions about your professional experience, your idea and the technology platform you’re using.
Applications will be followed up with an interview to discuss your application and idea further and determine the best way in which EDUCATE can help you.
