The Evidence Applied Edward signifies that the company, as well as successfully completing the EDUCATE programme, has demonstrated particular merit in applying their understanding of research methods.
Additional factors taken into account include:
- Engagement – contributing further to the EDUCATE programme and its community, for example by helping other cohort members or making suggestions on how to improve the EDUCATE participant journey
- Progression – demonstrating some particular insight, change or breakthrough in the approach as a result of participation on the programme
- Outcomes – developing a particularly robust research proposal and making progress on conducting research and communicating its
Please note that you must have completed all requirements for the Evidence Aware EdWard to be eligible to apply for an Evidence Applied EdWard.
You may submit your application at any time during a submission window. The outcome of your application will be communicated within 2 weeks of the submission window deadline date.

EdWards Appeals Process
It is possible to appeal the outcome of your EdWard submission in which you should reapply providing additional information that responds to the feedback you will have received.
You should submit this no later than 10 working days after the date on which you received your outcome notification. Appeals will be addressed and responded to within 10 working days.
Companies are entitled to one appeal at each level of submission. The decision of the panel is final.
